The remaining variables may or may not be\nordered. An algorithm for recursive partitioning is\nimplemented, based on maximizing the significance of a\nchi-squared statistic for cross-tabulations between the\ndependent variable and the predictors at each partition. The\ndata are partitioned into mutually exclusive, exhaustive\nsubsets that best describe the dependent variable.
